Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as the label's the first artist of female gender on Dreamville Records by J. Cole. On July 21 2015 Omen featured her on his album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to collaborate in conjunction with Rihanna. She was officially signed with Dreamville Records on 8 December. She made an appearance on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. On the 21st of October in 2016, the EP Pho debuted. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened with the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she appeared on two songs alongside her labelmates EarthGang to Nothing but the Best. Also, she appeared on Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July 2018. A music video then released in September. On November 9, she released two additional singles, forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Two additional singles were also released by her on 11/13 with the titles Pedigree and One. The singer appeared alongside Cole on her Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16and later released the song in a solo version for the album she released her debut. The track was accompanied by the music video which debuted on February 20 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views via YouTube in the first week. In December of 2018, she was a supporting act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
